2007 Tally

Happy New Year Drury family and friends!

As we blog our way into 2008, I'd like to take a moment to look back on our blog in 2007. We've had some new contributors this year and we've seen a little less from some of our past contributors. In an effort to thank those that contributed often and motivate those who we'd like to see contribute more, I ranked each family by their number of posts.

1st Place with 22 posts...Joel & Stacy Ham (Be rest assured that I am humbled by this honor.)
2nd Place with 15 posts...Daniel & Brenda Bixby (Elise contributed with her 1st post this year.)
3rd Place with 11 posts...Carl & Becky Ham
4th Place with 8 posts...Bert & Molly Bouwman
5th Place with 4 posts...Jeremy & Chrissy Ham
6th Place with 3 posts...Eric & Nancie Ham (You snuck them in at the end of Dec, but they count.)
7th Place with 2 posts...Andy & Sara Briggs
Tied for 8th Place with 1 post each...Captain Tom & Shirl and Sarah Drury a.k.a. The Bookworm

Please join me in cajoling, motivating, harassing, or doing whatever it takes to get the rest of our family involved in this blog. Here are your targets for 2008: Ken & Sue, Tom & Leesa, David & Lori, and Eric & Wendy. Feel free to go after the children as well (at least those that are capable of operating a computer). In all seriousness, we are happy to hear from any and everyone who contributes to the blog. Blogging is not for everyone, so we will look forward to the other ways that God chooses to bring us together as a family.

Our family praises the Lord for where He took us in 2007 and look forward to where He will lead us in 2008. Join us in praising our Savior.

I'm just trying to keep things lively on this blog. I don't want us to end up like the Martin Clan blog. ;)

The genes can be a blessing and a curse. Love you Dad! Of course, you too Mom!

WHERE ARE THE PRIZES???!!! Surely there must be a trophy---or at least a participation ribbon---for 4th place???;) This whole "tally" thing might bring out the competitive nature in a few of the family members...:)

We'll have to come up with trophies or ribbons; that's a great idea!

I don't believe we will see the competitive nature of our family come out on the blog. After all, the most competitive one of us all has never posted or commented here. "Dogonit!" ;)

i think joel underestimates the capacity of the rest of the drury fam's competitive nature...hasn't he seen brenda play "dutch blitz"!!!!!
or anyone of the drury women shopping---looking for the best deal??? i would say that there is a fierce beast within each of us waiting to be "let out"---and now there is good reason to just let it all hang out!!!

Well said skymama. The family exercises it's competitive nature in other venues. For being as talkative & competitive a family as we are, I was expecting a little more of that to come out here, from everybody.

Unleash the beast!

Joel,
This is a complete sham.
Of course you won. I knew there was something up your sleeve when I would see blog titles like

1 of 15
2 of 15
etc.
etc.

:-)
