God's Country

We had a good time up north, in "God's Country."
It snowed about 7 inches the day we left, but we were able to make it back down.
It snowed the whole way home, and we did see several bad accidents, including a snow plow in front of us that almost tipped over when it's plow dug too deep.
It was scary, but thankfully there was no one next to him, and we were far enough behind. We are thankful for a safe trip back home.
We took Bear and Bronwen with us and the kids had a blast.

Lennon Spends The Weekend With G&G Ham

Lennon Adele came to spend the weekend with grandma Becky and grandpa Carl. Jeremy and Chrissy had planned a weekend away visiting a friend in Iowa, so Becky picked up Lennon Friday afternoon.

She was soooo good! Took her naps as expected, slept through the night, and was very happy all the time. Saturday it reached 54 degrees, and Becky took Lennon for a walk around Hopewell in her stroller while grandpa worked cleaning up the garage.

These pictures were taken Saturday evening in our living room. We'll have to give her back on Sunday after church. We enjoyed her very much and had a great time. All children are a blessing from God, but especially grandchildren!!!

Grand Canyon Trip

Stacy and I were blessed to be able to visit her brother & sister-in-law, Rollie & Megan, in Arizona in January. They are great hosts and part of our stay with them involved a 2-day trip to the Grand Canyon. It was awesome! God's creation can be so beautiful! As you can see from the photographs below, we had a lot of fun.

Snow Day w/ Boomer

Boomer, our Great Pyrenees puppy, continues to grow larger every day. He loves to spend time outdoors playing in the snow and chasing his tail. He loves to play and is wild about chewing anything and everything. He really is a good dog. Below are just a few photos from our "snow day" with Boomer.

Fun in the snow!

As you can see, the kids had more fun this long weekend in the snow. Last night, we had company over. There were a couple of teenage boys that helped Ben "improve" his luge track. Needless to say, he was in his glory.
Here is his first attempt, which Elise braved.
You can see some video of his improved track here. Elise chickened out, I guess.

A Saudi Howdy!

Things are going well for me here in the Middle East. The pictures were actually taken in the desert north of Dubai, in the northern Emirates. It was near the coast where there was a bit more vegitation.
I am currently in Riyadh, KSA.
I can't wait to get home and tell you all about it.
The plant in the picture is called "desert bread." Probably similar to the cactus plants in Arizona, this plant can be eaten, and has water. It had some pretty purple flowers, though you can't really see them in this picture.
Saw lots of camels, goats and wild donkeys.
On my day off, we went 4-wheeling in the desert. It was a blast, riding up and down sand dunes (and no, I didn't roll it - though I came close!). We actually took the SUV out and did the same thing - I was a little scared. I was sure it was going to roll a couple of times, but my driver knew what he was doing.

Family Photo

Here's the most recent family photo we have. I'm mainly doing this in an attempt to post the photo to our Blogger profile. We'll see if it works.

Baby's 1st Photos (1 of 2)

Hello Family!

I've heard (and read) that things have been pretty boring or dull on the Blog of late. Sorry, I haven't been able to contribute like I used to. The promotion at work has taken all of the free time I used to have. Praise God, from whom all blessings flow! While I miss my free time, I love the new challenges.

Here are some photos from our 1st ultrasound of our baby girl, Edith Lynn (Ede).
