Anchorage, AK

We had a wonderful time today, our first full day in Alaska. We went to church this morning to a church that our church supports. It was good to see their work here. Then, we drove down to Seward, AK. It is about 130 miles south of Anchorage. The drive was beautiful. It was rainy and cloudy - we never really saw the sun, but it was still gorgeous. The pictures don't do it justice, because of the clouds and rain. I'll turn it over to Mom.

What an awesome God we have! The huge, rugged moutains, some with snow on top, and the beautiful dark green of the pines and the contrasting gold and yellow Aspen and birch.....SPECTACULAR! Daniel chauffered us roundtrip about 260 miles of beauty! What a great guy we have for our son-in-law!

Wow I'm so envious! But you are just on a scouting mission so you will know where to take the whole family next time-right Dad??
I'm glad you are enjoying God's handiwork and one another's company! Have FUN!!!

Houston, we have a problem....no GPS was to be had at the rental car store......bad combo, Danno-maps. Dad and Mom-maps.

Wendy, remember California?!

We just hope that we see them again, and they don't get lost in some mountain-pass! :-)

well bren, you could look at it like this---we probably saw a heck of a lot more than we would have if we had been in control of the maps and car...

alaska is a pretty neat place...how was the flight???first class for some i hear...were the flight attendants nice or were they old and cantankerous???were you able to see the glaciers for what seemed like hours?
