Hmmm... so the Bears beat the Chiefs and that makes them the best team in the NFC North? Of course, that that isn't saying a whole lot. But I guess that puts them right up there with the Texans, who held the Chiefs to only 3 points last week.
Bears all the way! They may have had a rough start to their season, but how did they finish their season last year? Oh yeah, that's right, they went to (and lost) the Super Bowl!
How did the Vikings do last year? :( How are the Vikings doing this year?
Granted, I'm a little afraid of the Week One losses to the Bears' defense, but I have confidence they'll work it out.
excuse me...is joel trying to make us believe the bears are good???
this chica don't know much about football, but i know the vikings AND the bears are stinkier than kenny's diapers!!!
that is why i plan on cheering for the packers this week...which will really make my husband mad because he'll probably receive som verbal abuse from some whacked out vikings fan---sorry honey!
As much as I hate to admit it, the Packers are surprisingly good this year. The Vikings, on the other hand, are in their 12th year of "re-building". However, any true fan of the Purple will realize that our Pride doesn't fade away after a couple of 6-win seasons. We're just choppin' our way out of the forest; diggin' our way out of the woods. Packers fans (and Bears fans) have had to endure many lean years and so do we. It will be a joy to see a legend like Brett Favre throw his 421st touchdown-pass on Sunday at our beloved Dome. I just hope he doesn't smile afterwards because it looks like he has a mouth full of indian corn. Also, I hope after he throws his TD he gets stuffed by something called E.J. Henderson and breaks his thumb, thus ending his career. Well, have a good day everybody! Eric
Skymama-----I like the reference to Kenny's diapers. I think I've gotta agree with you there. Our husbands can call us "fair weather fans" and I don't mind a bit!
Eric, I think you are going to need to bring a BIG HONKING PURPLE handkerchief for your big old purple tears to fall into when we get SMOKED at da DOME! (I will say I'm WAY jealous about you having seats, though!) :-)
im glad we are having a football debate on the drury blog.. i think we all need a healthy dose of reality if we think that the now Griese lead bears stand a chance.
the game was not so great, but the drunk woman sitting next to eric was rather entertaining!
honestly, i prefer to watch at home...unless it was a big game like the superbowl...but then again, we'll never see the likes of one of those in minnesota!

LOVE IT! I hope Grossman doesn't make me eat my words, but it's good to see Lennon cheering on the best team in the NFC North! GO BEARS!

Your toast already, if you're comparing the Bears with the Viqueens.
Toast? I like toast. I prefer orange marmalade on my toast; not purple grape jelly. ;)
