What do I think after watching the film? I think the information presented is accurate. I have followed this issue for many years now and there is more to it than meets the eye. Would I engage in civil disobedience? That depends on what you call civil disobedience. If you mean throwing Molotov coctails at the IRS building in Washington I would say, no. If you mean preaching against homosexuality from the pulpits of our churches I whoul say, yes.
For the sake of the tax deduction our churches have incorporated with the state, and the state has decided that homosexuals are a protected class, so it is technically illegal to preach against it, but we do, and we should.
For the sake of the tax deduction those of us who are married have incorporated with the state via the marriage liscense making our children "wards of the state". The state has determined that certain kinds of discipline and certain kinds of education are not to be tolerated. Yet we still discipline and educate our children, and we should.
The state has not brought the guns out on these two issues yet (except in a few obscure cases). But they can, and eventually they will as the state gradually moves toward total control. At some point we will all draw the proverbial "line-in-the-sand" and take our stand. To be Christian is to be civially disobedient since we "obey God rather than man".
